GET ONE. I agree with demorik here. This system is the most amazing thing to happen to home theater in a box setups. Clean, clear, musical, and able to get -ridiculously- loud… When I was tuning everything, a friendly neighborhood police officer happened to stop by and informed me I was creating a disturbance.
… That pretty much sums it up. Take a concert speaker system…make it sound cleaner and more detailed, and you have it.
I have the SLS Audio Q-line Gold 5.1 w/ dual subwoofers.
Get one, im telling you, get one, are you listening? even if you have a reciever already get the speakers, have your friends or family ever said ” dam !” while watching a movie or playing a game? the sound is so clean and can be cranked high, i was watching hurt locker and every explosion had us jumping like a horror movie lol not to mention when im playing bad company 2, awesome system.
The PS3 and PS3 slim both have a digital optical out ports that work perfectly with the SLS Q-Line Gold.
The SLS Q-Line Gold is digital ready with toslink and coaxial digital audio which is the same audio content as HDMI.
HDMI is not really needed on a home theater system. This system is digital audio ready with multiple toslink (digital optic) and coaxial audio inputs. There are many ways to hook up your component to this system with HD digital audio. You can run HDMI cables to your TV and have one toslink (digital optic) cable from your TV to this system. Or you can run an HDMI cable to your TV and a toslink or coax cable from your component straight to this system.
@BasherCoon
Hey man just curious Iam thinking about getting this one too but lack of HDMI kinda bothers me I own a PS3 for a blu ray and wanted to know if it will work well with the SLS Q
@BasherCoon Got the system today! Unboxed it (4 HUGE boxes!) and was amazed by the quality, fit & finish of the gear…totally great buy. Sounds amazing–my only beef is that the dual sub system (the one I got) doesn’t come with a RCA cable splitter, so both subs can be wired out of the box…but thats ok, I can pick one up at radio shack for a few bucks…no big deal!
I just bought one of these from AV-Express. God, I hope my money was well spent.
I’ll post a full review here once I get her home and broke in.
I do have to say that the reviews I’ve read have been very promising for these systems.
I don’t see any HDMI inputs on this system. I just came from the web site and looked at the pics of the rear and there’s none to be found.
Thanks for the comment! The guy in this video actually works for AV-Express… not SLS. We purchased both of these systems and took them apart piece by piece, and found the SLS to be superior in many ways, even more than what is here in the video.
lol damn
Al right Mr. SLS representative, we get it, you’re product is great! But no, seriously though, Sony is shit…should stick to TVs…
wow… those little speakers on the Sony are crap! I had no idea. Glad I didn’t buy at Best Buy the other day.
No HDMI but the speakers alone are worth far more than I paid – sell the rebranded Sherwood and get a receiver with HDMI if that is necessary. The system sounds great. Better than great.
