   Actually coax can carry a digital signal as well. He is definitely not an expert as component is analog and does not split off Red, Green, and Blue. It actually carries colorless signals, such as luminance, a croma values.

    “Basic cable for cable television” – I don’t know how it is in USA, but in Europe normal cable for cable television is coax.
    After what he talks I can learn “video(yellow) cable is different than audio left(red), right(white) and component cables(red, gren and blue)”.

    They’re all the same, the cinch connectors!
    Colour is the only that differs in those cables.
