Could you provide a brief explanation of the subwoofer crossovers or recommend a site or video that explains how to use the crossover feature correctly? I’d really appreciate it.

this guy just reed the manual fitcures of the woofer(cerwin vega hst- 12), he is right at the phases but that woofer dosnt retein the frecuencies about 40hz to 120hz , just take a part of the signal and the amplifier do the rest. those frecuencies pass too your other speakers the problem is that your speakers dont reproduce that frecuencies. get luky

If you put the sub next to the couch you will hear tones that you should not be able to hear, making your movie experience very annoying! I recommend a front corner of the room or somewhere close to it.
