does he have a fuckin clue what hes on about lol. ”bigger the better” not always in walmarts case.

  2. Wow My head Hurts with the amounts of BAD INFO . You should stop Giving out info like this. The Xover is based on the the Main speakers. Usually you want the sub to be crossed at about ten Hrz above The speaker input is for a stereo set up that is used for a system with out an LFE out put. It can be also used in a Center channel sub Configuration ( Learned That one at REL ) Have you been to REL? I Guess Not. Do you self a and every one else a favor stop posting Vids

  3. asatruviking says:

@bassl0va If you have full range speakers then you should set the crossover as low as possible. I mean you paid for the whole speaker you might as well use it, right? Don’t worry about the drivers they can take it. Some receiver companies like Onkyo even have a full range setting so you can use the full rang of the speaker and still use a sub.

  4. bsod4u2 says:

The crossover point is not there to filter all below the X-over point. It starts rolling off at that frequency.

Any powered sub will have a PHASE , either a 0 or 180 switch or better yet a variable from 0 to 180.

The smaller your speakers the higher you cross the sub to these, with large speakers you can cross at much lower frequencies.
    For example 40Hz.

  5. elfster86 says:

here is a test you can do. take your rear speakers that are facing your front ones then reverse phase on them, it will be almost like nothing is comming out of them but you will still see the cone moving!

  6. elfster86 says:

first off, what the hell is that annoying high pitched sound?!?!?!

correct me if im wrong but if you switch the phase to 180 and all other speakers are at 0 you will be canceling out eachother frequencies. if the sub is from 20hz to 80hz and ur speakers are 50hz to 20khz then everything from 50hz-80hz will be canceled out. doesent matter wich way it faces.

  7. bassl0va says:

@iloveaxxo but it’s still good to let the sub do up to 80. then you dont stress the floorstanders too much

  8. iloveaxxo says:

    @bassl0va

i have valdus 500’s whuch have 3 x 8in bass drivers (floorstanders) and they can handle down to 40 hz

  9. defendant420 says:

In all my years I never found the polarity switch useful

WHATS THAT HIGH PITCH SOUND ARGH

  11. 1995903 says:

then if its not for that room than why do you have it in the next video

  12. Cameronsshow says:

i agree. im 15 and i probly know more than him

  13. bassl0va says:

he says the smaller the mains the lower you need to set the filter on the back of the sub?!? thats the wrong way round. the smaller the mains the higher the subs filter has to be set.
who sets a sub at 40Hz anyway? you shouldnt really set them below 80 unless your mains are like 15″ beasts, which is unlikely because most home theater mains are 8″ max. bring back the days of decent speakers!!! he’s not very expert anyway. what kind of village is this. lol

  14. mawijamana says:

shure they are compatible just see the spesifications and how are u going to conect it? maybe i can hellp u

  15. AMOVIEROOM says:

    Q: I have a Sony Receiver SONY STR-DH 800 @ 8 ohms a Amplified powered sub SONY SA-W 3000@ 6 ohms R they compatible? THanx

  16. asatruviking says:

If you put the sub next to the couch you will hear tones that you should not be able to hear, making your movie experience very annoying! I recommend a front corner of the room or somewhere close to it.

  18. Tshilly says:

he explains it in a nice way but where is the high constant beep coming from??

  19. mawijamana says:

this guy just reed the manual fitcures of the woofer(cerwin vega hst- 12), he is right at the phases but that woofer dosnt retein the frecuencies about 40hz to 120hz , just take a part of the signal and the amplifier do the rest. those frecuencies pass too your other speakers the problem is that your speakers dont reproduce that frecuencies. get luky

  20. TorontoJon says:

Could you provide a brief explanation of the subwoofer crossovers or recommend a site or video that explains how to use the crossover feature correctly? I’d really appreciate it.

  21. WTF WHATS WITHT HE HIGH PITCH AHHHH!!!

  22. GTechno13 says:
